The Botany Woods Swim Team, known as the Botany Bolts, is made up of resident's children and grandchildren who enjoy friendly competition with other neighborhood swim teams. Botany Woods has been part of the Swim Association Invitational League (SAIL) since its inception in 1964. Along with McCarter, Stone Lake and Chetsu, Botany Woods was one of the original members of SAIL (initially called PYA - Parent/Youth Association).
The Botany Bolts Swim Team is successful because of the support of many parents, volunteers, neighbors and local organizations. We want to extend our sincere thanks to all of our generous sponsors! TadpolesTadpoles is intended to help our smallest children learn to swim properly. If your younger child (around age 4-6) wants to learn to swim and is comfortable getting into the pool, Tadpoles would be a great fit. We will have a Tadpoles meet at the end of the season, and many of our Tadpoles progress enough to be able to swim in a “real” meet during the season.

Botany BoltsOur regular swim team is divided into two age categories: 10 and under and 11 and over. If your younger child is able to swim at least one length of the pool, he/she should be comfortable on the regular team. Coaches will conduct assessments and discuss recommendations with parents near the beginning of the swim season.
